
Chiangchunshan aqueduct, People's Republic of China, 1974 -- Daily LIFT #1009
The Chiangchunshan aqueduct in Shucheng County was built during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. It linked the counties of Shucheng and Livan and connected the tributaries of the Yangtze and the Huai Rivers. It irrigated 400,000 mu of farmland in Livan County, and accommodated boats up to 20 tons.
