"The state emblem of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic consists of a gold hammer and sickle on a red shield, illuminated with sun rays and surrounded with ears of wheat and inscriptions on a red ribbon: on the ribbon below the words "Ukrainian S.S.R.", on the right fold "Proletarians of all countries, unite!" in Russian and on the left in Ukrainian.
