BEIJING: Yu Lei, the director of the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC), warmly and graciously welcomed over a hundred journalists at the inauguration of the Program this Friday in Beijing.
In his speech, Yu Lei emphasized that this is a chance for communicators to convey the true and comprehensive reality of China to their various audiences. He mentioned that over the four months of the Program, we will gain a complete understanding and view of his country from a multidimensional perspective.

The director used the exchange space to emphasize the opportunity for participants to share diverse cultural, social, and general realities of China, taking an approach that extends beyond the narrative typically presented by the world's most influential media.
This edition features participants from over 90 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The agenda includes the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War against Japanese Aggression and the World War against Fascism, the 8th China-CELAC Dialogue among Civilizations, and the 7th China International Import Expo.
The Program will include conferences covering topics like socioeconomic development, diplomacy, culture, and the science and technology of the Asian giant. Additionally, visits will be arranged to Party and Government institutions, as well as to businesses and other organizations.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in internships that promote learning and exchange at media organizations such as China Global Television Network (CGTN), Xinhua News Agency, and People's Daily.
In addition, they will visit top global science and innovation companies. The itinerary also includes trips to sites of historical and heritage significance in China, such as the Great Wall and the venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, among others.
Latin America is represented by several countries, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, El Salvador, Uruguay, Venezuela and Colombia. Cuba is also represented by the newspaper Granma.
Established in 2014 and conducted in partnership with the Chinese Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), this program will certainly serve as a platform for exchange for all its participants. We must seize every moment to communicate to the world about today's China from a multifaceted perspective, sharing experiences and memories globally.
