Communist parties of Brazil and Cuba strengthen ties

The head of the Departamento de Atención al Sector Social of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Rolando Yero Travieso, held discussions with Ana Prestes, Secretary of International Relations of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) and Ricardo Alemão Abreu, Director of Cooperation at the Mauricio Grabois Foundation.


Yero Travieso emphasized that this visit confirms the strong state of relations between the two Communist Parties, highlighting their historical significance and mutual interest in fostering and enhancing interparty exchanges.


The Brazilian leader emphasized the longstanding friendship and solidarity between the two Communist Parties and also expressed support for enhancing these ties.


Furthermore, Alemão Abreu confirmed the intention to pursue cooperation and research projects under the existing agreement between the Mauricio Grabois Foundation and the Communist Party of Cuba University Ñico López , focusing on the topic of Fidel in Brazil.


On the Cuban side, officials from the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban Embassy in Brasilia also participated.
