On October 20, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and the Secretary of Organization, welcomed Li Zongyuan of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the General Director of the Party's Museum of History.

Morales Ojeda stated that the Party leadership always finds joy in welcoming CPC delegations, viewing it as a chance to assess further possibilities. He emphasized that the PCC places significant importance on the study and teaching of history. He reaffirmed that "our Party is founded on Marxism-Leninism, Martí's ideology, the legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and the teachings of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz."

The Secretary of Organization mentioned that efforts are underway to compile a synthesis of the history of the Communist Party of Cuba, with the aim of making it available to both the party members and the public in the near future.

Morales Ojeda expressed gratitude to the visitor for participating in the first Granma Rebelde Festival, stating that "we will strengthen and expand it in future editions; nevertheless, we believe that, even though it was the inaugural edition, it was very successful."

In addition, the Political Bureau member discussed with the CPC leader the criteria for recent events, including the Rally in Solidarity with Venezuela and the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements. He described these events as "a platform for discussion and planning to confront the common enemy and the rise of fascism."

Li Zongyuan's presence demonstrates the strong relationship between the two parties. They confirmed their commitment to progressing with the implementation of the agreement between the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chinese President, Xi Jinping.

During the discussion, the Secretary of Organization expressed gratitude for the steadfast support from the People's Republic of China in the Cuban people's fight against the genocidal economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States. Additionally, the Secretary acknowledged China's ongoing denunciation of Cuba's unjust inclusion on the spurious list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

He also reiterated the PCC's historic and unwavering support for the one-China principle and opposition to attempts by the United States and some of its Western allies to interfere in the internal affairs of that sister country.

This visit, the first by a delegation from the CPC History Museum, highlights that ties between the two parties are the cornerstone of relations between the two nations.

The visiting delegation's schedule, starting on the 18th and concluding on October 21st, features official meetings and visits to various locations. Additionally, a Framework Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the CPC History Museum.

"This agreement is crucial; the Fidel Castro Ruz Center serves as a model for our aspirations in working with the history of the Revolution," added Morales Ojeda.

Earlier in the day, before this meeting, the delegation was also welcomed by Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, the head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the PCC.
