Motivated by Martí's legacy of honoring the heroes of the people, a delegation from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), led by Yuneidis Imbert Chaple, the Deputy Head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector, laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the father of Ghana's independence, commemorating his life and achievements.

At the Conference celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Fifth Pan-African Conference, the Cuban delegates explored the historical connections between Cuba and Ghana, centered around the meeting in September 1960 between President Kwame Nkrumah and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The leader of the delegation emphasized the strong bond between our peoples and the desire to strengthen it further. The delegation includes Julio Enrique Pujol Torres, the Ambassador of Cuba; Yamil Martínez Marrero, the Second Secretary; and Julio César Sánchez, an official from the Central Committee of the PCC.
