A valuable tool for the study of revolutionary thought and the history of Cuba is now available to everyone. The full digital edition of the Selected Works of Fidel Castro Ruz in Spanish is available for free download through a link provided by the Fidel Castro Center.

According to an announcement from the prestigious institution, this 23-volume collection – carefully annotated and introduced by the Leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz – offers an essential selection of speeches, interventions, interviews, appearances, letters, messages, articles, and other documents from the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, as well as additional materials from the Commander in Chief spanning 1940 to 2016.

Volume 23, in particular, offers abundant documentation on the close friendship between Fidel and Bolivarian leader Hugo Chávez, serving as a testament to the fraternal bonds that united both nations.

"It is an annotated edition that facilitates the understanding of the texts, since the footnotes refer to or clarify names of people, places, institutions, events or expressions. Each volume also has an introductory note on the corresponding historical context and analytical, onomastic and toponymic indexes. The collection is complemented by a booklet that shows the general indexes and a thematic guide for each volume," the Center specified.
