Cuba and Laos strengthen their historic ties during official talks

An official meeting took place at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) between Emilio Lozada García, head of the PCC's Department of International Relations, and comrade Bounleua Phandanouvong, head of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

During the talks, Lozada highlighted the historic relationship of friendship and cooperation that has united both parties for decades, and thanked the LPRP for its permanent support and solidarity with Cuba.

The leaders reviewed relevant issues on the party's agendas and reaffirmed the commitment to continue promoting fraternal relations between both political organizations.

Led by Phandanouvong, the Laotian delegation is taking part in the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties and the First International Colloquium “Fidel: Legacy and Future,” representing the General Secretary of the LPRP and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Tonglong Sisoulith, as a Special Envoy.
