The meeting between Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), and Pham Xuan Thuy, the deputy head of the Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), who is visiting the island with his delegation, was a reflection of the excellent state of bilateral relations between the two parties.
Invited to participate in the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements and the First International Granma-Rebel Festival, the Vietnamese delegation was received at the Central Committee offices. At the meeting, Morales Ojeda expressed gratitude to the PCV for their support in the campaign celebrating the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba Friendship, organized by the Vietnam Red Cross and the Fatherland Front.
The Cuban party leader emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is grounded in the historic bonds of comradeship and solidarity that connect our parties and peoples, established by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh.
He added that publishing Marxist theoretical content, tailored to today's context, holds significant importance. "Thus, this event will enhance this commitment through its discussions and contributions," he stated.
Similarly, Morales Ojeda mentioned that this visit helps to strengthen the relationship between the Commission of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization and the Ideological Department, in line with the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2023 between the two party structures.
Pham Xuan Thuy expressed gratitude for the invitation to take part in the meeting, which he characterized as a strategy to tackle the challenges of modern times through communication.
Furthermore, he emphasized his country's desire to further enhance political relations and cooperation with Cuba for the development of both peoples.
