FIRST: Cuba is a prime example of historical resistance and political sovereignty, given the capacity the Cuban people have demonstrated to maintain their self-determination despite more than 60 years of external harassment. This harassment has included all forms of high- and low-intensity warfare invented by American imperialism: economic, financial, and commercial blockades, both direct and through third countries; multiple assassination attempts, especially against Fidel, its historical leader; biological and bacteriological warfare aimed at destroying crops and provoking genocidal pandemics; propaganda and media warfare, which has slandered the government, falsely accusing it of all kinds of crimes; and the strangulation of the Cuban economy, taken to levels never before seen in the history of humanity.

SECOND: Cuba has a significant righteous diplomatic dignity, giving it moral leadership in international forums to condemn aggressions and threats not just against itself, but also against other peoples, regions, and humanity as a whole.

THIRD: The triad formed by the people, the government, and the Communist Party of Cuba has developed an exemplary creative resistance, overcoming deficiencies through social and scientific innovation that has transformed necessity into collective strength, as demonstrated by the level of mass education achieved; the remarkable advances in healthcare; the capacity to save lives in the face of destructive natural phenomena such as hurricanes; and the exemplary development of Cuban pedagogy, medical sciences, and biotechnology.

FOURTH: Cuba has become an example of international solidarity, providing selfless aid to Africa, Asia, Latin America, highly developed capitalist countries like those in Europe, and even to its main aggressor, the United States of America.

FIFTH: The Cuban government has generated a new collective identity and a daily dignity that is expressed in daily life through gestures of neighborly and professional solidarity. Dignity serves as a cornerstone of national identity and a political affirmation of Cuban identity, emphasizing the defense of sovereignty as the highest value. It is intertwined with internationalism and a humanism that aligns more closely with the socialist future of humanity, in contrast to decadent capitalism, which is entrenched in a multidimensional crisis, devoid of values and a future.

Together, these five elements shape the image of Cuba not only as a country that has endured a prolonged siege, but as an actor that has transformed that pressure into a source of legitimacy and moral authority. The capacity to maintain a sovereign project, denounce the injustices of the international order, practice active solidarity, and forge a collective identity around resistance are the pillars that explain why it is considered the prime example of dignity in the face of imperialism.

Today, Cuba suffers the worst siege and the most destructive threat from the U.S. government. Cuba today deserves the full solidarity of the Mexican people and all the peoples of the world.
