Lenin in Tampere, Finland, 1905, Painting, Aleksandr Moravov, 1951 -- Daily LIFT #1739
The painting depicts the first time that Lenin met Stalin, in a hall that was lent to the Bolsheviks by Finnish labour activists. It was otherwise a routine meeting.
The painting was on display at the Lenin Museum in the Finnish city that survived even the counter-revolution in 1991.
It did not, however, survive the new neo-fascist historical revisionist wave in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe and was closed in 2024.
