Konstantinopolsky, a Ukrainian artist, fought with the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Badge of Honour (a civilian honour) and the Order of the Patiotic War, First Class.
