Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Premier of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Pak Thae Song in Beijing to commemorate 65 years of the China–DPRK Treaty of Friendship and to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
President Xi Jinping received Premier Pak Thae Song at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of July 10. This meeting coincided with the 65th anniversary of the signing of the China–North Korea Treaty of Friendship, highlighting the historical significance and strength of their bilateral relationship.
During the talks, Xi emphasized the importance of strengthening the ties between China and the DPRK and advancing with socialist modernization together. The discussions focused on deepening cooperation and reinforcing the long-standing friendship between the two nations. Meanwhile, Premier Pak extended congratulations to Xi Jinping on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and recognized China's remarkable development achievements under Xi's leadership.
Xi stated that despite the current international situation being volatile and complex, China and the DPRK should uphold strategic resolve, strengthen strategic confidence, and expedite the implementation of the consensus reached between him and Workers' Party of Korea General Secretary Kim Jong Un, ensuring that the relations between the two parties and the two countries remain in step with the times.
