Added research information:
The GAZ-63 was a 4x4, 2-ton Soviet military truck produced from 1948 to 1968 at the Gorky Automobile Plant. It was developed from the GAZ-51 truck and was known for its ruggedness and use in various applications, including as the basis for the BTR-40 armored personnel carrier.
The GAZ-63 was essentially a militarized version of the GAZ-51, sharing the same engine and drivetrain but with a reinforced structure and modified bodywork.
It was produced in very large numbers, with around 470,000 units manufactured during its production run.
Its key features were a 4x4 all-wheel drive for improved off-road capability, it was powered by a 70 horsepower 6-cylinder GAZ-51 engine and it served as the foundation for the BTR-40 armored personnel carrier.
While the GAZ-63 was a capable truck, it was eventually superseded in the Soviet Army by the more advanced GAZ-66.
