Global Signature Solidarity Campaign with Cuba Launched

A Global Signature Solidarity Campaign with Cuba has been launched.

The Yo firmo por Cuba / I sign for Cuba campaign seeks to get people around the world to add their name to a global petition for peace, sovereignty, and solidarity with the Cuban people.

George Mavrikos, Honorary President of the World Federation of Trade Unions and President of the IWI IOI International Workers Institute helped launch it with a strong message to the global working class: "Why does Trump want Cuba?:

Cuba does not have oil.

Women in Cuba do not wear headscarves.

Cuba does not have rare earths.

Cuba does not control energy routes.

Why then do the Imperialists, NATO, the EU, and the international Bourgeoisie hate and threaten Cuba with military intervention?

The answer is very clear. They do not want a socialist country in their backyard.

A country and a people that teach dignity, pride, and resistance to the USA. They do not want a country that serves as an example for the region and the peoples of the whole world.

In these critical moments, it is the duty of all of us to stand with actions by the side of the heroic Cuban people until the final victory. Now, because tomorrow might be too late.
