The First International Forum for Peace was held on June 23 and 24 in Brussels, attended by representatives from numerous organizations and social movements from around the world.
At the event, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cuban Embassy in Belgium report that participants adopted a final declaration with a strong call for peace, particularly in light of the USA's imperialist ambitions in the Middle East, which threaten to ignite into a global conflict.
Additionally, the declaration explicitly condemned the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on Cuba and demanded its immediate removal from the spurious list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism. The Forum's delegates agreed that these policies are unjust, inhumane, and violate international law.
