The International Relations Section of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns the unacceptable ratification of the ban on the Communist Party of Poland by the Polish authorities. In its statement, it notes the following:
“The KKE condemns in the strongest terms the unacceptable decision of the Warsaw Regional Court to remove the Communist Party of Poland from the register of political parties. This decision implements a previous anti-communist ruling of the Constitutional Court, which, at the request of the country's president, Nawrocki, banned the Communist Party of Poland.
The ban on the Communist Party of Poland is part of a series of outrageous bans in EU countries which, based on the unhistorical equation of communism with the monster of fascism, punish those who disseminate communist ideas. In Poland and in the Czech Republic, such actions are punishable by up to three and five years of imprisonment respectively, while in Romania a proposal is being prepared providing for sentences of up to ten years.
Such anti-communist decisions accompany the intensification of the EU’s war preparations and those of its governments at the expense of the people. They go hand in hand with the escalation of the anti-labour offensive and the attack on the remaining rights of the people.
The EU and its governments, which serve the decayed system and attempt to impose darkness through such decisions, are deeply deluded if they believe that court rulings can abolish class struggle, prevent the struggle of the Polish and other peoples, or stop the struggle of the Communist Parties and communists against capitalist barbarity, wars, exploitation, poverty, and refugees.
