Athens, March 11, 2026
Responding to the call of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), thousands of demonstrators gathered at the iconic Syntagma Square in Athens, right in front of the Greek Parliament, to protest against the threats and aggressive policies of US imperialism toward Cuba.
Waving Cuban flags and those of the organizations present at the event, and shouting vibrant slogans, the crowd supported the KKE's General Secretary, Dimitris Koutsoumbas as he denounced the US imperialist attacks. He delivered a passionate and energetic speech reaffirming the steadfast solidarity of the Greek people with the Cuban people, their resolute fight against imperialism and the genocidal economic, commercial, and financial blockade. The blockade has been criminally intensified in an attempt to break the spirit of the Cuban people and overthrow the Revolution.
At the conclusion of the event, the crowd, guided by the principal leaders of the KKE, the Communist youth of KNE, and other organizations, began a solidarity march down one of the major avenues in the Greek capital, heading towards the United States diplomatic headquarters.
Cuba is not alone.
Hands off Cuba.
Until Victory Always!
