Work in the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) is characterized by long work days and a constant dissatisfaction with all that still remains to be done. This is well known to all those within the party who are dedicated to it, because this is to also dedicate themselves to Cuba and its heroic people. For this reason, on April 16, 87 Party workers and cadres who have dedicated their efforts and strength to the party for years were recognized.

Some have served uninterruptedly for five years, while others have dedicated themselves to the soul of the Revolution for five decades. Jorge Martin Blandino, along with other comrades with more than 35 years of service, received recognition from the First Secretary of the Central Committee and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, for the energy and strength they have dedicated to the PCC.

Meanwhile, Rebel Army Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura and Political Bureau member and Organization Secretary Roberto Morales Ojeda presented the award to those who have served for 30 and 25 years.

“On behalf of those of us who have received this honorable recognition for the years dedicated to the cause of the Homeland from the trenches of the Communist Party of Cuba, allow me to express our immense gratitude and commitment to always defend the Revolution,” said Luis Roberto González Pedré, who expressed pride in his status as a communist militant, which he defined as: “an act of dedication to the ideals that the organization defends with passion, joy, and responsibility.”
It's no coincidence that this event is being held on such a significant date; April 16 marks the 64th anniversary of the founding of the current PCC, the one forged in the sands of Girón and forged in momentous battles.

For her part, Yudí Rodríguez Hernández, a member of the Central Committee Secretariat and head of its Service Department, emphasized that “The path has been full of difficulties, but also of achievements and triumphs. We have advanced with creative vigor, rectifying errors and negative trends, waging a battle in a context of economic, ideological, and cultural warfare. We are working with optimism to resist and advance.”
Rodríguez Hernández also recalled that: "Our only Party, the one that belongs to everyone, the one of the Revolution, the one of Martí, Baliño, Mella, Blas, Raúl, and Fidel, remains victorious; it is a guarantee of the unity of the nation, of the Revolution, and of the Socialism we are building."
