On Socialism: The View of the New Communist Party of The Netherlands
Conference text: The view of the NCPN on socialism
This summer, the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) held a conference to discuss the theses of the Central Committee concerning the view of the NCPN on socialism.
More specifically the theses address the lessons to be drawn from the historical experience of socialist construction in the USSR, the theoretical foundations for the development of communist society, and the possibility and necessity of socialism in the Netherlands. The theses were discussed extensively within all branches of the party, as well as within its youth organisation, the CJB. This discussion contributed to and further developed the theses. Delegations from branches across the country participated in the conference, which expressed unanimous support for the theses on the NCPN’s view on socialism.
The theses are based on extensive research that the NCPN conducted in recent years, which has led to the publication of numerous studies and articles addressing various theoretical questions concerning socialism and the historical experience of socialist construction in the USSR.
