On the 108th Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution (translated from the Spanish)

108 years ago, on November 7, 1917, the Great October Socialist Revolution triumphed, which opened for humanity the historic transition from the outdated capitalist mode of production to socialism.

We pay homage to Lenin and the cadres of the Bolshevik Communist Party.

Following the example of the Paris Commune of 1871, the proletariat led by the Bolshevik Party conquered power, overthrowing the exploiting class and initiating the construction of a new society, a new world.

Revolutionary workers' power showed that it is possible to live without capitalism, without the bosses, that workers can put themselves at the forefront of state and government tasks and transform society and nature. Socialist construction in the USSR demonstrated the superiority of socialism over capitalism.

The proletariat, on the basis of its power, with the socialization of the means of production, with the planning of the economy, combating commodity relations, undertook gigantic tasks to put an end to the exploitation of humanity.

Socialism in the USSR made its contribution to the defeat of fascism, to the liberation of the peoples of Europe, to decolonization in Asia and Africa.

The socialist construction in the USSR is the concrete and tangible example of how society can advance by leaps and bounds in rights, health, education, culture, housing.

The legacy of the Great October Socialist Revolution is the living flame of what we workers of the world have to do to put an end to barbarism, exploitation and imperialist war.

The triumph of the workers in 1917 was forged in the very process of building the class and internationalist party that is the Communist Party.

The Communist Party of Mexico is following the path on the route established by the October Revolution.

Inspired by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and the Bolshevik leadership cadres, the Communist Party of Mexico, equipped with Marxist-Leninist theory and adhering to the principle of proletarian internationalism, tirelessly strives to spark new socialist revolutions.
