At the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, welcomed Gorka Elejabarrieta Díaz, the Secretary of Political Relations of the Basque Party Euskal Herria Bildu (EH Bildu). This meeting reflects the commitment of both political organizations to strengthen their relations.

During the meeting, Morales Ojeda passed on greetings from the First Secretary and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and provided an update on the causes and recovery efforts for the National Electric System, which was disconnected on September 10 at 9:14 a.m. He also discussed the detrimental impact of the United States' hostile policy towards Cuba, which is largely responsible for the country's current challenging situation.

Elejabarrieta Díaz expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality, noting it as a chance to better understand the Cuban people. During his address, the Secretary of Organization acknowledged EH Bildu for its strong opposition to the Cuban blockade. Morales Ojeda highlighted that international solidarity and the bravery of the people have been crucial in withstanding the imperialist attacks.

Gorka Elejabarrieta, who serves as the spokesperson for his party in the Senate, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Joint Commission for the European Union, has included in his program meetings with officials from the National Assembly of People's Power, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples. Additionally, he plans to visit the University of the Party and the Fidel Castro Center.

This meeting, which included the participation of Emilio Lozada García, a member of the Central Committee and head of its Department of International Relations, will help to strengthen and broaden the cooperation between Cuba and the Basque Country.
