The DNA Report is preparing our October 19 Livecast to cover the results of the Smith MAGA ballot, the implications of the vote and the larger political prospects for annexation and democracy in Canada.

The DNA Report Livecast will start @ 7pm Alberta time (ABT) one hour before the polls close [6pm PDT/8pm CDT/9pm EDT]. The Livecast will continue until the results are known.

We have a team of senior correspondents on hand to share perspectives on the outcomes of the night, to boo our ruling enemies and their Trump Quisling auxiliaries.

The DNA Report was launched to engage a historic moment when Trump-USA politics is coming to Canada directly for the first time. Governor Smith’s ballot is not just about cloaking American Annexation under the flim-flam of Albertan ‘independence’.

The MAGA-inspired ballot is also seeking to create a manipulated popular mandate for far-Right policies around five get-the-immigrant questions as well as constitutional changes that embolden the Smith regime to accelerate American-style healthcare privatization and ride roughshod over First Nations’ constitutional rights (section 35) through the ‘paramountcy’ of provincial law.

Win or lose, this Trump-USA initiative will have broad ranging regressive implications in Alberta and across Canada for years if not decades to come. This is why democratic forces in Canada need to shake ourselves free of the denial and the self-flagellation which is hindering us in facing this multi-sided existential threat.

In the process of confronting the far-Right’s march across the land, we will be compelled to oppose both American Annexation and the anti-democratic nature of the Canadian capital colonial set-up. This includes creating critically needed democratic opposition to anti-public and anti-national actions carried out by federal and provincial political establishments.

This is why we need you to join us on October 19—to hear a concentrated run-down of what this referendum is and what it means for the country as a whole. In this way, we are collectively in a better position to understand how the working majority can politically organize over time towards a genuine public democracy in Canada.

*******We are still working on our media platform, so stay tuned on how you can watch The DNA Report Livecast event.*********
