TO THE COMMUNIST AND WORKERS' PARTIES OF THE WORLD ON THE OCCASION OF MAY 1ST INTERNATIONAL WORKERS' DAY - 2026
COMRADES!
On this May 1st, 2026, Chilean communists abroad raise our banners high to fraternally salute those who, from every corner of the planet, are building a future of justice. This year, our battle cry resonates more powerfully than ever: Peace and Socialism!
U.S. imperialism, in full decline, seeks to impose its world order based on the arrogance of the powerful and the deaths of millions of innocents. We see it in its total war against Iran and Lebanon, in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and in the intensification of the criminal blockade against Cuba, whom we accompany in its heroic resistance. We watch in astonishment as the Empire crudely interferes in the internal affairs of free and sovereign countries, from Venezuela across all Latin America and the Caribbean, to Asia and Africa.
It is not enough to condemn. Today, as we have done before, we must move to action. Chilean communists call for unity, for coordinated work against War, Interventionism, and Colonialism wherever we may be.
Our struggle is not only against tanks and sanctions. The enemy also attacks workers with austerity policies that strip peoples of their social gains. The far-right advances with impunity. We know the answer lies in the streets and in organization: we must be part of the heroic resistance of our peoples across the world.
This May 1st finds us standing ready to fight.
Therefore, we call for joint action:
• Close ranks: Let us build effective coordination among Communist and Workers' Parties wherever we are.
• Fight disinformation: Let us denounce the warmongering propaganda of the Empire and the monopoly media.
• Defend sovereignty: Our solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela, Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran must be active and militant.
Today, more than ever, proletarian internationalism is not a slogan, but the only possible compass to save humanity from barbarism.
Long live the Workers of the Entire World!
Long live the unity of the communists of the world!
Against War and Austerity, for Socialism!
