YaAZ-200 (1947-1965): The first Soviet diesel truck of serial production. Engine capacity - 4650 cm3, power 110 hp, length - 7.62 m, unladen weight - 6500 kg, speed - 65 km/h; load capacity - 7000 kg

Also known as the MAZ-200, this was a Soviet truck produced at the Minsk Automobile Plant, notable for being the first Soviet truck equipped with a diesel engine. Initially, the MAZ-200 was manufactured by YaAZ (Yaroslavl Automobile Plant) located in Yaroslavl, Russia, from 1947 to 1950, before production was transferred to MAZ.


In 1962, the truck received an upgrade with the installation of the YaMZ-236 V6 diesel engine.


Many thousands of these were manufactured.
