Youth Festival stamp, 1964 -- Stamps of the GDR #36
Stamp in honour of a massive youth festival and meeting held over 3 days in Berlin, German Democratic Republic in May, 1964. It included music and other entertainment and drew youth from across the GDR and even a few hundred from West Germany. The event ended with a massive fireworks display over Marx‐Engels Square that could be seen across all of the city.
