Vintage Cookbook: Family Circle Fast Meals Cookbook

The Fast Meals Cookbook was part of a series that Family Circle Magazine released in the 70s and 80s. While some of these cookbooks are quite different from each other, this particular one aimed at offering quick and easy mains, sandwiches, menus and desserts that are often based around "pantry" ingredients.
It is very campy now and rather dated, though that also makes it fun.
The sandwiches are, as one might expect, often over-the-top while some of the "dishes" such as the "Sausage Pizza" actually consist of taking store bought meals and simply topping them with more ingredients.
The Deep South Ham and Sweet Potatoes and the Confetti Frank Casserole are both dishes best viewed as a glimpse into the past rather than as anything you would actually want to make.
There are classics though, and you can't really go wrong with something like a Dagwood sandwich, though please use butter and not margarine!
