The Evening for the 9th Anniversary of the physical passing of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz took place on the night of November 25, featuring songs and dances that highlighted Fidel as a hero, a humble and gentle man, and a Leader. This Fidel is more than just a name; he symbolizes a world of struggle and passion, and a call for the new generations to embrace their responsibility and commitment to the Revolution.

On the historic steps of the University of Havana, alongside hundreds of young people, stood Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic.

"Filled with the enduring commitment of youth, we affirm that your light will never fade. It will remain in the eyes of your young people, in every corner of the world, and in the hearts of your people. Today, however, we are not merely discussing a man; we are speaking of a symbol that has become a living part of our history," said Meyvis Estévez Echeverría, the first secretary of the national committee of the Young Communist League (UJC), in the main address of the evening.

Fidel "embodies the purest values of social justice and the fierce determination to protect our achievements," said the youth leader during a meeting that showcased once more the love and respect of a people who have stayed faithful to their country's glorious history.

Fidel's ideas, she said, "have allowed the rise of this Revolution of dignity and justice, and they will continue to lead us, as his example is not merely a relic of the past; it serves as the compass directing us toward the future we are building."

"Fidel," she said, "will always be here, walking among us, inspiring hope, and next to him, this youth to whom I entrust the homeland."

Commander of the Rebel Army José Ramón Machado Ventura, members of the Political Bureau and other leaders of the Party, the State and the Government, of the mass organizations, and heads of the FAR and the MINIT also participated in the Evening.
