The GAZ-12, also known as the ZIM-12 was a Soviet six passenger sedan that was available for private ownership while also being used for official government affairs and as taxis. With a modification its basic design could also be used as an ambulance.


It was produced at the Gorky Automotive Plant (GAZ) and over 21,000 were ultimately made.


The model was very highly regarded and was also the first Soviet car to feature the leaping gazelle hood ornament.
