The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) reports that on Wednesday, July 16, a new mass militant mobilization took place at piers 2 and 3 in the Port of Piraeus, Greece, protesting against the transfer of military equipment to the state of Israel for its genocidal war in Gaza. Dockworkers, other laborers, and thousands of individuals answered the call from ENEDEP (the Container Handling Workers’ Union at the Piers of Piraeus), PAME, the Piraeus Labour Centre, along with numerous other unions, organizations, and student associations.

The objective was to stop the unloading of military and war materials, such as enriched steel for military purposes, reportedly aboard the ship “COSCO Shipping Pisces,” which had just docked at the port. This shipment is intended for Israel, where it will be utilized to continue the massacre in the Gaza Strip.

ENEDEP has announced that it will maintain a constant presence on the ship to ensure that the five containers of military cargo are not unloaded while it remains in the port of Piraeus.
