The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) reports that on Wednesday May 28, protests by members and supporters of the All Workers’ Militant Front (PAME) resulted in the cancellation of a scheduled conference for Greek and Israeli business leaders supported by the Greek government. The conference aimed to strengthen “business cooperation”, turning a blind eye to the crimes being committed by Israel in Gaza and against the Palestinian people.
The militant mobilization of PAME once again expressed the will of the majority of the Greek people, who the KKE note "oppose the despicable attitude of the Greek government, supported by the other parties of the system, which does not dare to speak out against Israeli atrocities and promotes “strategic cooperation” with Israel."
Following the decisive intervention of PAME and the outcry of the general public, the government and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which had organized the meeting, were forced to withdraw their participation.
