To strengthen the commitment to advancing actions that enhance complementarity on issues of mutual interest between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Labor Party of Mexico (also known as the Workers' Party of Mexico) (PT), an exchange and cooperation agreement was signed this Saturday between both political organizations.
The document, signed by Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Party's Central Committee, and Professor Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, founder and national coordinator of the Labor Party of Mexico, reaffirms the commitment to continue efforts in fostering and strengthening dialogue, economic cooperation, communication, mutual trust, and the training of its cadres.

Before the signing, delegations from both parties engaged in discussions where Morales Ojeda characterized the PT's visit to the island as a demonstration of commitment to the Cuban people during these challenging times, highlighted by the intensified economic, commercial, and financial blockade and its constraints on development and well-being.
He emphasized the existence of a "dynamic and comprehensive exchange" over the years, focused on sharing the most valuable experiences. According to the Secretary of Organization, the agreement will establish the groundwork for a roadmap that ensures its successful execution, fostering not only the exchange of experiences but also the collaborative efforts of both organizations in the regional and international integration of leftist movements.

He stated that this rapprochement is within a global context marked by the resurgence of fascism and the unification of the right wing around American imperialism.
In his welcoming speech, Morales Ojeda specifically acknowledged Adolfo Orive, a combatant who, alongside the Cuban people, faced imperialism at Playa Girón.
Meanwhile, Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, the national coordinator of Mexico's PT, stated that "despite U.S. pressures," Mexico will stand "today more than ever" with Cuba, its Revolution, and its leaders.
He stated that Mexico's President, Claudia Sheinbaum, will not only continue the policy of support for Cuba initiated by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, but also "strengthen the relationship with the Cuban revolution."
The leader of the Mexican party, leading a high-level delegation consisting of senators, federal deputies, and members of its Political Bureau, emphasized the socialist left-wing nature of the PT. He stated, "We see ourselves as the left of the left in Mexico, with a strategic vision and commitment to fight not only for socialism but also for communism." He asserted that they are the only party in Mexico with this stance enshrined in their statutory documents.

The Mexican delegation reiterated the historic bond of comradeship between the two peoples and their unwavering solidarity with the island.
Other members of the Political Bureau, the Secretariat, leaders of the Party, the Union of Young Communists and other Cuban mass organizations also participated in the exchange.
