CARACAS, Venezuela — The unbreakable comradeship between Cuba and Venezuela, forged in the heroic struggle against imperialist aggression, was highlighted this Friday. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros welcomed the Cuban delegation, led by Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and the secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, who is engaged in a comprehensive work agenda here.

In the Simón Bolívar room at the Miraflores Palace, better known as the house of the Venezuelan people, a meeting occurred where the Bolivarian leader emphasized that the Cuba has a "remarkable history of uniting the forces of Latin America and the Caribbean for what was and is known as the second definitive independence of our continent."

He also stated that currently, the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela "are confronting a multifaceted war..., what some refer to as a hybrid war. Those who develop geopolitical theories describe it in various ways. Ultimately, it is an immoral war aimed at destroying the most beautiful achievement in our people's history: a revolution inspired by Bolívar and Martí."

He emphasized that "there is much that unites us (Cuba and Venezuela)," and regarding the imperialist threats faced by both nations, he indicated that "as long as they keep underestimating us, we will keep advancing, supporting one another, and uniting as brothers," because "peace will always be our victory."

In another part of his speech, Maduro highlighted Fidel's resilience and genuineness, suggesting that "they could not defeat him; imperialism never managed to defeat him." He reminisced about the embrace between the Commander in Chief and Chávez on December 13, 1994, in Havana, marking the founding of "the new Latin American era we are experiencing."

He also mentioned that significant work with a global impact is essential, combining the strengths of both nations to advocate for their truth on the world stage. "There is always more that can be accomplished. We have a constant obligation to do more (...) we must embrace learning, creativity, collective intelligence, and maintain a continuous drive, never relinquishing the initiative."

"I am confident, beyond a doubt, that by combining our experiences, abilities, and efforts, we will elevate the original vision of the great Bolívar, the Apostle, and the giants Fidel and Chávez. This original vision is the one we uphold as the invincible banner of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean."

He described this visit and the days spent as highly significant, emphasizing the "need for action plans that effectively incorporate historical experience across all areas and initiatives of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban Revolution, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the Great Patriotic Pole, and the Bolivarian Revolution."

Morales Ojeda extended a warm greeting on behalf of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic. He reaffirmed our nation's steadfast commitment to continue supporting the Venezuelan people and acknowledged the integration of the Venezuelan people, military, and police forces.

"Amid the challenging situation you are navigating, the manner in which you and the other Venezuelan leaders have addressed these political, diplomatic, psychological, and military challenges is commendable. This underscores the enduring relevance of the legacies of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the eternal Commander Hugo Chávez Frías. Through this resilience, Venezuela sets a dignified and sovereign example for all of Latin America," he said.

In his speech, he referenced comrade Fidel's reflection from August 5, 2009, which warned about the threat posed by military bases in Latin America. This reflection, titled "Seven Daggers in the Heart of America," urged the Cuban people to give their all for Venezuela—a call that remains highly relevant today.

For this reason, he emphasized that the children of this land could rely "on Cuba, its people, and its Revolution." He announced that next week, a signature collection process will commence in support of the declaration made by the Cuban Revolutionary Government this Wednesday in solidarity with Venezuela, in response to the ongoing siege by the U.S. empire.

"This will represent not just a declaration from our country's leadership, but also from all our people, expressing support for Venezuela and opposing the aggressions you are encountering," stated Morales Ojeda. He clarified that once the signing process is completed, the books will be sent to the Venezuelan President, with confidence that "millions of Cubans will participate."

In his speech, he stated that the call is directed towards the international community, serving as a clear message from the nations within the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People's Trade Treaty, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, and from the free peoples and governments advocating for peace, including Venezuela and Cuba.

MEETINGS THAT STRENGTHEN UNITY

With the warmth of close friendship, the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba was welcomed on Friday by Jorge Rodríguez Gómez, the president of Venezuela's National Assembly. This meeting was significant in determining the path forward during this crucial time for our peoples.

The parliamentary leader expressed pleasure in greeting and sharing with dear brothers of the Bolivarian Revolution, stating that this visit is an opportunity. He welcomed the Cuban delegation at the Assembly headquarters and emphasized the importance of continuing to uphold the "ties of friendship" between both nations.

Morales Ojeda spoke of the importance of strengthening relations in the legislative field, from where many other alliances can be supported. He stressed that the parliamentary sphere is an important component of the relations between our countries, along with those of the Party and the Government.

He also remarked on the challenging situation the country is experiencing, which has worsened recently due to the intensified U.S. blockade. However, he noted that this hasn't stopped us from practicing solidarity by sharing not what we have left over, but what we have, and most importantly, sharing our efforts.

Morales Ojeda stated that this visit is part of the ongoing follow-up to the exchange and cooperation agreements established by both Parties in 2023, with the roadmap having been signed here yesterday. After the meeting concluded, the President of the Venezuelan Parliament posted on the social network X, describing it as a "fruitful meeting" and declaring that "united by Bolívar and Martí, we will always be sovereign. Long live Cuba and Venezuela! We will win!"

Soon after, Morales Ojeda engaged in a conversation with Rander Peña Ramírez, the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty. Their discussion highlighted the importance of uniting the region's leftist and progressive forces to counter imperial ambitions.
