On the Youth Protests in Europe: Dimitris Koutsoumba

In Spain, people are taking to the streets becuase they are being evicted from their homes. In France, because they’re being denied an education. In Greece, students are setting up tents in Syntagma Square because they have nowhere to live while they study—they can’t afford the cost of studying!
Three countries, three different governments, the same story: There’s no money for the needs of the many, but there are billions for the profits of the few and for NATO military equipment!
From Madrid to Paris and from Paris to Syntagma Square, the new generation is demanding what has been denied to them!
One thing is certain: a heated winter of struggle awaits the government!
The students didn’t set up tents to go on vacation. They set them up because they refuse to turn their lives into a never-ending battle for survival!
We stand with them in their struggle for education and a life with rights!
