Statements for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People
On 29 November, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) once again expressed its solidarity with the Palestinian people's just struggle against Israeli occupation, oppression and imperialist aggression, and for their own Palestinian state.
Israel is pursuing a systematic policy aimed at the permanent oppression, expulsion and extermination of the Palestinian people. The genocide in Gaza through massive bombardments, the destruction of infrastructure, the expulsion of the population and the ongoing violence perpetrated by settlers continues unabated. Even the recently announced "ceasefire" is repeatedly violated by Israel through new attacks, arrests and military operations.
At the same time, violence is escalating in the West Bank: settler militias and the Israeli army attack Palestinian villages on a daily basis, expand settlements, expel families from their land and carry out executions and collective punishments. This violence is not a "side issue" but an essential part of the attempt to make the establishment of a Palestinian state for the Palestinian people impossible.
The NCPN strongly condemns the complicity of the Dutch government, which, under the guise of "neutrality," follows the line of NATO and the EU: providing political cover for Israel, maintaining military cooperation, deepening economic relations, refusing to impose sanctions on Israel and, above all, refusing to recognise a Palestinian state. The Dutch state bears a great responsibility for these crimes by continuing to support Israel, which repeatedly tramples on international law.
The new UN Security Council plan, based on US President Trump's scandalous plan, also disregards the fundamental rights of the Palestinians, such as the complete end of the occupation, the right of return, and the national sovereignty of Palestine with the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, are being set aside in favour of the geopolitical interests of the imperialists and their monopolies. This plan does not serve the liberation of Palestine, but facilitates the huge profits that the Euro-Atlantic monopolies want to make by gaining control of transport routes, energy sources and raw materials in the context of increasing imperialist competition.
The NCPN emphasises that real solidarity does not consist of empty words or mere humanitarian indignation, but of actively fighting the imperialist EU, US and NATO, which enable the Israeli bourgeoisie to exterminate the Palestinian people and deny them their right to their own state.
We call on the working class in the Netherlands to support the struggle of the Palestinian people, to organise, and to expose the hypocrisy of the Dutch government and its imperialist allies. The liberation of Palestine is linked to the struggle of peoples worldwide against imperialism and capitalist barbarism.
Stop the genocide – stop Dutch complicity!
Long live the struggle of the Palestinian people!
Date: November 29, 2025
On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the Communist Party of Swaziland stands in support of the Palestinian struggle for justice, freedom, and self-determination. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing plight of the Palestinian people, who have faced decades of oppression, displacement, and violence.
The roots of the Palestinian struggle can be traced back to the early 20th century, when Zionist colonization began to displace the indigenous Palestinian population. Following the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes. This event marked the beginning of a long-standing conflict characterized by systematic dispossession and violence against the Palestinian people.
The actions of the Israeli state against Palestinians constitute a form of genocide, as outlined by international law. The ongoing military occupation, the blockade of Gaza, and the relentless expansion of settlements are all manifestations of this brutal reality. The Israeli government, supported by imperialist powers, particularly the United States and the European Union, has perpetuated a regime of terror that seeks to erase Palestinian identity and sovereignty.
The toll of this ongoing violence is devastating. Since the beginning of the latest escalation in conflict, thousands of Palestinians have lost their lives, with a significant number being women, children, and the elderly. This highlights the indiscriminate nature of the violence that targets the most vulnerable members of society. These acts of genocide are the last scars of imperialism, a stark reminder of the enduring legacy of colonialism and exploitation.
The criminal regime of Mswati in Swaziland, which has forged a troubling friendship with the Israeli state. This relationship not only undermines the sovereignty of our nation but also contributes to the suffering of both the Palestinian people and the impoverished citizens of Swaziland. The resources that could be used to uplift our people are instead diverted to support Israeli military actions, which utilize materials in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians. This complicity in the oppression of the Palestinian people must end.
While calls for a ceasefire are crucial, we caution that such measures must not serve the interests of imperialism or the oppressive regime. A ceasefire that merely allows the Israeli state to regroup and rearm would be a betrayal of the Palestinian people's struggle for justice. During the recent ceasefire agreement, Israel continued to kill approximately 250 Palestinians, demonstrating its disregard for peace and human life. Furthermore, there are ongoing plans by the Israeli government to displace Palestinians to other parts of the world, a strategy aimed at erasing their existence and heritage. True peace can only be achieved through an end to the occupation and the recognition of Palestinian rights.
We call for the immediate recognition of a free and sovereign Palestinian state, stretching from the river to the sea. This vision is not merely a political statement; it is a fundamental human right for the Palestinian people to live in peace, security, and dignity in their homeland. The international community must recognize that true peace can only be achieved when justice is served, and the rights of Palestinians are upheld.
We also demand the end of the Zionist apartheid regime that systematically discriminates against Palestinians. The apartheid wall, checkpoints, and discriminatory laws serve as stark reminders of the oppressive reality faced by millions of Palestinians. The world must unite to dismantle this regime and support the Palestinian call for equality and justice.
On this day of solidarity, we reaffirm our commitment to the Palestinian cause and stand in solidarity with all those who resist oppression and fight for justice. The resilience and resistance of the Palestinian people serve as a great inspiration to the working class and oppressed peoples around the world in the fight against imperial aggression. The ongoing genocide is indeed the last scar of imperialism, and we will continue to advocate for Palestinian rights until freedom is achieved.
Long live the Palestinian resistance!
Long live international solidarity!
The 29th of November is observed as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its unwavering solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, dignity, and justice. This year marks more than two years since the beginning of the genocide against our brothers and sisters in Palestine, where over 63,000 lives have been lost, with numbers tragically increasing.
The cessation of military operations in Gaza strip is certainly a development that relieves every progressive and peace-loving person.
However, despite the fanfare and self-congratulations of the so-called peacemakers, the criminal Netanyahu history has proven that agreements like this one, imposed by the imperialists “with a gun to the head”, can bring neither just nor lasting peace, because they serve the interests of the monopolies, not those of the peoples. It is an agreement that buries the just and lawful aspirations of the Palestinian people for an end to the occupation and the establishment of their own independent state.
The agreement on which the ceasefire is based, as well as the entire management of its implementation, takes place under the control and supervision of the United States, which has always been the consistent ally of Israel.
The incredible brutality demonstrated by the murderous Israeli state, which cost the lives of tens of thousands of civilians—most of whom were children, women, and the elderly—the massive destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, and, in general, of the most basic infrastructure for a dignified life, and the violent displacement of millions of people from their places of residence, are acts committed before the eyes of the entire humanity. For these crimes, the Israeli state and those responsible for these decisions must undoubtedly be held accountable.
Responsibility for these crimes also lies with all the governments that economically and militarily support Israel, providing not only political and diplomatic cover but also the material means for this unprecedented barbarity. The United States, along with the European Union and their other NATO allies, bear equal responsibility for the genocide and ethnic cleansing that has taken place in Gaza and for the fact that Israeli occupation and settlement expansion have been sustained for decades, with the rights of the Palestinian people being brutally violated.
The WFTU, as always, stands by the Palestinian people, demanding an end to all economic, military, and political cooperation with the murderous state of Israel, the immediate restoration of the destruction and the creation of conditions for a dignified life for the residents of Gaza, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces both from the Gaza Strip and from the West Bank, and the immediate cessation of the illegal and criminal settlement of Palestinian lands.
It is clear that peace in the Middle East can only be established with Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories and the full implementation of the relevant UN resolutions for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The WFTU calls on its affiliates and friends to intensify their solidarity activities for Palestine.
Long live internationalist solidarity!
Long live Palestine!
