Solidarity with the Venezuelan people and its government against U.S. imperialism!

Freedom for President Nicolás Maduro!

The undersigned Communist and Workers’ Parties strongly condemn the criminal military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the kidnapping of its legitimate President Nicolás Maduro Moros and his wife Cilia Flores, and demand their immediate release.

The terrorist operation launched by the imperialist regime of the United States is not only yet another act of piracy and a blatant violation of international law of unprecedented gravity, but also demonstrates the intrinsically imperialist nature of the Atlantic capitalist system, aimed at plundering the vast natural resources with which Venezuela is endowed. Only provocateurs could have believed the lie of “drug trafficking”!

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with its consistent stance in favor of the peoples of Donbass and Palestine, has become a target of Atlantic imperialism, Zionism, and their media apparatus: not only because it embarked on a revolutionary path oriented toward anti-imperialism, but above all because it did not surrender its national sovereignty, refusing to sell itself to the diktats of Euro-American big capital.

The decline of the Atlantic liberal system is irreversible, and the opening of ever more armed conflict fronts and the overthrow of any form of even vaguely patriotic and committed to sovereign development government represent desperate moves—no less dangerous or bloody—for the appropriation of any resource and any strategic position in order to slow the consolidation of a multipolar world. Attacking Venezuela is therefore also an attack on all states that are pursuing a sovereign path of development independent of imperialism, i.e. of NATO and the USA.

We are facing a devastating precedent for the credibility of the United Nations itself, but not only that: it represents a threat to the sovereignty and rights of other peoples, first and foremost in Latin America and the Caribbean (Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, etc.), but in reality throughout the entire world, as demonstrated by U.S. bombings against countries in the Middle East and Africa and coordination with the genocidal regime of Israel.

We express our solidarity with the Venezuelan people and its government, who will defend their Revolution and the independence of Bolívar’s homeland by any means necessary!
