CPS in Solidarity with Cuba

26 March 2026

The Communist Party of Swaziland hereby issues this formal declaration of solidarity with the Republic of Cuba and calls upon the working class of Swaziland, progressive movements throughout Africa, and the international community to provide substantive support during this critical period.

The Communist Party of Swaziland formally condemns the prolonged economic embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba. This blockade constitutes an act of economic aggression that has systematically constrained Cuba's economic development and capacity for self-sufficiency.

Cuba maintains the inalienable right to self-determination and national sovereignty, free from external coercion or interference. The principle of self determination represents a fundamental right that all nations must actively defend against imperial aggression.

We respectfully urge the working class and progressive organizations of Swaziland to demonstrate active solidarity with Cuba by adding our voices and making practical political and material support as dare required. We call upon African nations and continental bodies to affirm Cuba's sovereignty and right to independent governance. The CPS further calls for the International Community to provide practical economic and diplomatic support to sustain Cuba's resilience.

The people of Swaziland are called upon to express their support for Cuba and to stand in solidarity with principles of international justice and equitable relations among nations. It is causative that some countries are already providing meaningful support to Cuba and let our country be counted.

Viva Cuba!

Down with imperialism!

End the blockade now!

Hands off Cuba!
