Six-year-old Hind Rajab, a Palestinian girl, faced unimaginable terror as she pleaded for help after Israeli forces murdered her family in Gaza City. Her family’s car came under Israeli fire January 29, leaving her trapped inside with her deceased relatives. In a desperate phone call to rescuers, she pleaded, “I’m so scared, please come.”
The Palestine Red Crescent Society dispatched two medics to try to save her, Yusuf Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun but lost contact with them. The Red Crescent released an audio recording of Hind’s desperate pleas for rescue, highlighting the urgency and helplessness they felt as they waited to access the location.
Horrifically, Hind’s lifeless body was found inside the car in the Tel al-Hawa area of Gaza City on Saturday morning (February 10). Her grandfather, Baha Hamada, confirmed her fate, saying, “Hind and everyone else in the car is martyred.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) located the bombed-out dispatched ambulance nearby, where the two paramedics had also lost their lives, also murdered by Israeli forces.
Gaza City has been ravaged by Israel's relentless and indiscriminate bombings and Hind’s family had hoped to find safety elsewhere.
A truly appalling example of the utterly unjustifiable and sickening genocide unfolding in Gaza. The world must act to stop this. Now.
