The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) reports that on Sunday, August 24, during rallies organized by All-Workers Militant Front (PAME), a powerful message of solidarity was conveyed from Athens and dozens of other cities across Greece by people of all ages, including workers and youth, to the courageous Palestinian people engaged in a life-and-death struggle, during rallies organized by PAME.
"We stand with those who are fighting for life, justice, and freedom," emphasized Valsamos Syrigos, the general secretary of the Federation of Construction Workers, in his speech, and added: "The Palestinian people are proving that if a people is determined, even barefoot, it can stand up to the most murderous machine in the world and manage to resist and hold on its homeland for two years."
The rally in Athens was attended by Dimitris Koutsoubas, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, who said: "It is unacceptable for the Greek government to support the genocide and starvation of the Palestinian people by supporting a war criminal along with its allies. It must stop now, immediately, and cease all cooperation with this murderous state. A free Palestinian state within the 1967 borders must be recognized, based on the unanimous decision of the Greek Parliament in 2015."
