To Lam and Zyuganov meet in Moscow

On May 11, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), Gennady Zyuganov met with General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) To Lam, who was in Russia to participate in the celebrations around the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.


To Lam said the CPV always attaches importance to its traditional friendship with the CPRF. He also highlighted the importance of the CPV-CPRF relationship in Vietnamese-Russian relations as well as playing an important role in strengthening and developing the international communist and workers' movement.


Zyuganov stressed that the CPRF has always advocated strengthening political, economic and cultural ties with Vietnam, considering the Vietnamese people a loyal friend of Russia. He also presented Comrade To Lam with a commemorative medal of the Central Committee of the CPRF, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.


Zyuganov congratulated Vietnam on its impressive socio-economic achievements in recent years under the Communist Party's leadership.


To Lam invited Zyuganov and CPRF leaders to pay an official visit to Vietnam.
