Jin Xin, Vice-minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with a delegation of young cadres from communist parties in Europe and the United States on May 7th in Beijing. The meeting focused on elaborating the scientific foundations and global relevance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Jin highlighted the CPC’s efforts to advance internal party self-building, particularly regarding youth education and governance ethics.

During this engagement, Jin emphasized the Party’s openness to enhancing youth exchanges with socialist counterparts worldwide, sharing experiences in party governance and state administration while exploring ways to adapt Marxist theory to local contexts. Delegation members expressed interest in learning from the CPC's practices in youth outreach, self-governance, and social administration to support the development of their own parties and contribute to broader socialist initiatives.

The meeting reflects the broader mission of the CPC’s International Department, which maintains relations with political parties worldwide to promote dialogue, strategic cooperation, and cultural exchanges. Established in 1951, this department historically focused on communist parties but has since expanded its remit to include non-communist parties, demonstrating the CPC's approach of party-to-party diplomacy for global engagement.

Jin Xin’s role as a senior diplomat involves facilitating interactions, establishing bilateral understanding, and representing the CPC in high-level political discussions, underscoring the importance the party places on ideological outreach and international cooperation among political organizations.
