ZIS-155 (1949-1957) City bus with front engine based on ZIS-155 truck units. A modification was produced for international routes with aircraft-type seats. Engine displacement - 5555 cm3, power - 95 hp, length - 8.26 m, curb weight - 629.0 kg, speed - 65 km/h, seats: total. - 50, for sitting. - 28

The ZIS-155 was a Soviet bus, mass-produced in 1949-1957 that replaced the ZIS-154 bus. The design used elements of the ZIS-154 bus and the ZIS-150 truck. It was on the ZIS-155 that an alternator was introduced for the first time in the Soviet automotive industry. Over 21,000 were manufactured.


An intercity and international route version of the ZIS-155 was also produced, equipped with 15 aircraft-type seats. These served passengers on many routes including the Moscow-Simferopol line which was 1399 km long.


ZIS-155s were also exported to Poland, the German Democratic Republic, China, Mongolia, and Afghanistan.


The bus was so iconic it appears in the Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic game:
