On the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, in Lisbon, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) signed an Exchange and Cooperation Agreement aimed at further strengthening and expanding the longstanding ties of friendship and solidarity between the two political organizations.

The document was signed by Juan Miguel García Díaz, head of the PCC's Central Committee's Administration and Services Office, while Pedro Guerreiro, a member of the Central Committee's Secretariat and head of its International Section, signed the document for the PCP.

This important document affirms the commitment of both communist parties to enhance relations in areas of mutual interest, including the political training of their cadres, connections between youth, trade unions, peace and solidarity organizations, and to foster cooperation in the economic domain.
