A delegation from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), headed by Roberto Pérez Jiménez, a member of the Central Committee and Head of its Organization Department, is taking part in the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) Festival. This event serves as a platform for discussion and exchange, gathering leftist and progressive organizations each year.

On its opening day, the Cuban delegation met with Antonio Maíllo, the regional coordinator of Izquierda Unida; Enrique Santiago, the Secretary General of the PCE; President José Luis Centella, and the Party's International Relations team. They also conveyed their gratitude for the continuous support of the PCC and the Cuban people in their efforts to lift the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government and to remove Cuba from the arbitray list of state sponsors of terrorism.

As part of the event, the Cuban delegation also met with MEP Estrella Galán from SUMAR.

Jiménez was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to Spain, Marcelino Medina González; the Second Head of that diplomatic Mission, Indira Groero Martínez and an official of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee, Aymée Díaz Negrín.

The PCE Festival will run until September 28.
