CARACAS, Venezuela — Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, characterized his meeting with Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic, as both "fruitful and necessary." This meeting concluded the official visit to this sister nation, which is standing up admirably in the face of the imperial onslaught.
In the fraternal exchange, both leaders emphasized the excellent condition of bilateral relations. They also talked about the advancement of economic, commercial, and cooperative ties, as well as the regional and international situation, stressing the urgent need to maintain peace for our peoples.
After affirming Cuba and its people's support for the Bolivarian Revolution and their steadfast and courageous efforts in confronting the current threats facing the nation, the party leader remarked on the challenging situation, noting that "we have been experiencing increased difficulties recently due to the intensified blockade, which remains the greatest obstacle to our development."

Furthermore, he indicated that "we are not sitting idly by," and in response to this reality, the Government Program aims to correct distortions and revive the economy, with the Party's most crucial responsibility being to ensure its success. Along these lines, he mentioned that the role of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela is significant in supporting all the economic and social transformations the nation has undertaken in recent years.
Rodríguez Gómez expressed gratitude for the support her people have consistently received from the Cuban Revolution and its top leaders. She stated that this meeting was intended "to strengthen our bonds of friendship and cooperation in light of the current geopolitical challenges and imperial aggressions against our peoples."
"We will continue to build concrete work agendas between the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and the Communist Party within the framework of the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement to overcome the criminal economic blockade of which both countries are victims," she wrote shortly after on his social networks.
Both leaders agreed that their nations will be more resolute than ever in defending the revolutionary visions of Bolívar and Martí, as well as Chávez and Fidel. This commitment was evident during these intense days of exchange, demonstrating that unwavering solidarity and unity will always serve as our protective shields against threats to global peace and security.
Accompanying Morales Ojeda at the meeting were Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party and head of the Productive Economic Department; Emilio Lozada García, head of the Department of International Relations; and Osnay Miguel Colina Rodríguez, president of the Organizing Committee of the 22nd Congress of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba.
On the Venezuelan side, Anabel Pereira, Minister of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade; Héctor Andrés Obregón Pérez, president of Petróleos de Venezuela, and Calixto José Ortega Sánchez, former president of the Central Bank of Venezuela and current president of the Research Institute were there.
