PCC holds meeting with the Party of the European Left

Before the Belgian ManiFiesta Festival program concluded, Edelys Santana Cruz, an official from the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee, had an exchange with Walter Baier, the president of the Party of the European Left (PEL).

The European leader mentioned the challenge presented by the right's dominance in the region and emphasized the need to strive for unity among leftist forces.

The parties agreed on the importance of advancing in the development of relations between the two political organizations. Walter Baier expressed the willingness of the PEL to undertake concrete actions in this regard.

Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, Ambassador of Cuba to Belgium and to the EU, participated in the meeting.
