On Sunday afternoon, the 47th edition of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) Festival wrapped up. This event spanned three days and gathered representatives from over 15 progressive organizations from various countries, along with numerous left-wing associations from Spain.

A special acknowledgment of solidarity with Cuba was made regarding the genocidal blockade enforced by the United States. The Secretary General of the PCE, Enrique Santiago, along with other Party members, participated in the panels at the conclusion of the event.

During the Festival, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) delegation, headed by Central Committee member and Organization Department Chief Roberto Pérez Jiménez, engaged in a comprehensive series of meetings with the PCE leadership, the national coordinator of the United Left, other SUMAR coalition members, MEPs, representatives from the Party of the European Left, and members of the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba.

Likewise, the effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government were denounced. Solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the popular, military and police union was affirmed, as well as support for the Palestinian cause. In addition, the commemorative program for the centenary of the birth of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz to be conducted by the PCE was begun.

The Head of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the PCC was accompanied by the Cuban ambassador to Spain, Marcelino Medina González; the Second Head of that diplomatic Mission, Indira Groero Martínez and the official of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee, Aymée Díaz Negrín.
