To evaluate the actions taken by the country in response to the immense challenges it faces, the highest leadership body of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) between Congresses has scheduled its XI Plenum for December 12 and 13. During this meeting, crucial topics concerning the nation's socioeconomic and political life will be examined.

The XI Plenary will assess the implementation of the Government Program aimed at correcting distortions and revitalizing the economy. This program is open for study and discussion from November 15 to December 30. Additionally, the plenary will examine the economic objectives and goals for 2026, as well as the proposed State Budget for the upcoming year.

The members of the Central Committee will also discuss the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa and the recovery progress in the eastern provinces, along with the impact of previous natural events.

As is traditional in these meetings, the Political Bureau will present a report on its activities and the key decisions made to date as the IX Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, scheduled for April 16 to 19, 2026, is being organized. The centenary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz will be celebrated during the year.
