14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam to be convened in January

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has issued an official notice to the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties announcing that the 14th National Congress of the CPV will be convened from 19 to 25 January, 2026.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) presents its compliments and has the honor to inform the following:

The 14th National Congress of the CPV will be convened from 19 to 25 January 2026, in the capital city of Ha Noi. The Congress is a pivotal political event for the Party, the State, and the People of Viet Nam, carrying decisive significance for the country’s future development in the new era. The Congress will review 40 years of Renewal (Doi Moi), 35 years of implementing the Political Platform on National Construction and 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. It will also set out the orientations and tasks for socio - economic development for the 2026 - 2030 period and define the goals, directions, and long-term vision for national development until 2045. In addition, the Congress will elect the 14th Central Committee for the 2026 - 2030 tenure, the highest body of the CPV between two National Party Congresses.

This Congress will gather 1,588 delegates, representing more than 5.6 million Party members.

The Central Committee would be honored to receive letters, messages of congratulations and encouragement addressed to the Congress before 15 January 2026.
