Argentina's Foreign Ministry has released an official statement on Wednesday condemning Israel’s deadly attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza.
It notes that "nothing justifies the violation of international humanitarian law, and the obligation to protect the civilian population in armed conflict, without distinction of any kind.
Our country therefore condemns the attack by the Israel Defense Forces on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, which resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries. It is essential to immediately halt attacks on civilian infrastructure, especially that aimed at ensuring the provision of essential services in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, water desalination plants and refugee reception centres."
Wednesday also saw Colombian President Gustavo Petro post on X about the Jabalia slaughter stating "“It’s called Genocide":
This comes just the day after Colombia and Chile recalled their ambassadors from Israel and the Plurinational State of Bolivia severed all diplomatic ties with the country.
